Heidi Klum has succeeded again in schocking attendees of her annual Halloween party by turning up in possibly the most grotesque and outlandish costume you'll have seen in ages.

For the past 20 years the 46-year-old supermodel  is really thrown herself into dressing up for her glitzy celebrity Halloween party. She's previously attended as Princess Fiona from Shrek, and Jessica Rabbit.

But none of those previous efforts are a patch on this one, though. It's revolting.

It's not exactly clear what she's supposed to be, some sort of humanoid cyborg?  Who knows? Maybe not even Klum herself...

One thing we do know is that it took her a hell of a lot of time, and others a hell of a lot of effort to get into it.

The whole process took her 13 hours and a dedicated team of make-up artists, prosthetics fitters and many more.

She had exposed organs, a brain covered by a glass dome, and weird machine-like things poking out of her back.

Oh, and she got ready for it all in front of a live audience.

The German swimwear model spent the hours leading up to the party in the window of an Amazon store showing everyone exactly how the process was done.

She announced the move by telling Entertainment Tonight: "This year is my 20th anniversary of my Halloween party, so I thought it would be fun for people to watch live when I get ready.

"On the 34th Street store of Amazon, I'm gonna be sitting in the window and people can just come by all day long and just watch the process if they're interested in seeing something like that."

She continued: "I thought it was fun to do a live art installation - that's what I just want to call it, because, for me, it's life art, what they do to me. People can hang out there all day and watch or come in the morning and then shop and come back in the afternoon.

"I'll still be there. Come and watch if you want!"

The effect certainly wasn't lost on anyone who attended the party. Alongside her husband, musician Tom Kaulitz, she was definitely the star of the show.
